my question is Did some people on 4chan years ago predict that a person they didn't know yet named Jim would own the new 8chan that they didn't know existed yet, and turn it from a non-profit website into a profit website that collects data?
there have been people permabanned from 8chan for discussing jim.

Even if it's not 110% confirmed, Jim has a history of doing things like this. Everything the guy does is suspicious, right down to his aloof and condescending style of posting. More importantly, no one will know if he's collecting data on 8chan until it's already too late. That's how data collection works. Posting on 8chan, let alone 4chan means taking a risk.
What I find surprising is that there appears to be two camps that think Hiroyuki is innocent while Jim is not and vice-versa. Both were involved in datamining schemes. The problem with Jim is that he was involved in multiple datamining schemes and then when he was caught, he tried to pin the sole blame on the one Hiroyuki was involved in. Two snakes that know how to play dumb, but Jim is the one who will throw the other under the bus when caught.

I too personally felt the perma-ban-hammer for posting the wrong info graphics (I contributed to a redpill thread, every one that did was banned and posts deleted).
