Don't listen to him, he's missing the REAL conspiracy. All music, which used to be composed on a variety of scales, has been replaced by a single artificial scale, 12ET, which provides only gross approximations of true harmony. All listeners have been trained to hear any other scale, harmonious or not, as 'out of tune'. Most people have never heard music how it was played before the 19th century.
This is interesting. I'm curious if this is also the reason why I like songs which deviate from the 'precisely pitched' standard. I like songs that deviate, 'off-tune' and whatnot. Even though the embed still uses the 12-note chromatic scale, all the notes are definitely not on-pitch.
Can you link some songs or sources of these pre-19th century tracks you had in mind when writing this reply?
Any of you realism how most of the quality instrumental music these days are produced for games, movies and shows.
