Did you even try to look for these? Chasing phantoms is literally available on it's website
http://in2worlds.net/ChasingPhantoms.pdf
I'm still looking for the other one. It's proving harder to find. Maybe some one else has it handy and will share.
Yep.
I looked it up and searched a bunch of sites for it.
I didn't even know they had a website.
Thank you for the first book!
thanks.
I have been wondering somenthing for a while. I think it would be relevant for Fringe to have its own book, covering all the basics and providing a short description for most magickal systems. Sometimes people don't know what to read.
almost like that thread on
>>>/fringe/193/ wanted to do.
Some don't even know where to start reading.
Requesting "The Mind Illuminated : A Complete Meditation Guide Integrating Buddhist Wisdom and Brain Science"
By: John Yates (Culadasa), with J. Graves, M. Immergut
Apparently it's the hottest new meditation manual that gives extremely detailed and technical instructions on gaining some pretty impressive attainments. I haven't read it but i''m pretty curious; considering all the hype around it. It's only been out for a few months and I haven't been able to find any complete copies online(for free). The closest I found was a sample chapter on here:
http://gen.lib.rus.ec/book/index.php?md5=83d6e682effa8847c0170b7fcf1d79e6
>I think it would be relevant for Fringe to have its own book.
All in good time.
>Sometimes people don't know what to read. Some don't even know where to start reading.
That is part of why I assembled the Neophyte's Gold
mini-lib, as sort of a magic 101 book lists
Here is an image that comes highly recommended from some other wizards. While I have not read most of those books. I do mostly agree on his later point on what to avoid, except Montalk, his stuff is great and highly applicable points to flag, I was a totally changed man after finishing Transcending the Matrix Control System. And gnosticism in general, it may seem a bit abstract, it's actually not, it just has a higher knowledge barrier to practical use.
P.S. if you're trying to cross link it works like this >>>/fringe/193
Cute picture. Tfw no alchemist gf.
Anyway I've found a lot of rare books on here.

I just saw this post in an archived question thread on 8/fringe/. I was curious about Atkinson writing about business, so I googled and found The Psychology of Salesmanship, which I already have from the Mega link and have just started reading. The anon mentioned "writings" plural, though. Did Atkinson write anything else on business?
Also, any other fringe related business books anyone know about?
Thanks to anon, we now have a compiled archive of these books.
Nietzsche-anon's Magic 101 https://www.mediafire.com/folder/5jbvucjd1cyq8/
Which is now in the sticky as well.
forgot to stop namefigging. That just for that thread on /fringe/ sorry.
Is this abridged? That section on "The Master and the Slave" doesn't seem to go anywhere. It says it'll teach you how to control your lover, but skips any sort of ritual and goes on to the next thing, unless I missed it.
That is just a brief text about sex magick in general.
Nothng is missing. The book itself is very short.

Here's the Daoist library I've slowly collected and found. There's not too much but it should be enough to get you going. (This is besides Mantak Chia's books. You can find his elsewhere).

Modern Magick: Twelve Lessons in the High Magickal Arts
guys pls. I really want this book, but i'm a poorfag. I've just become really interested in meditation lately and I find that it really helps with my anxiety/depression, but I'm a filthy mundane.

I don't know why you say it's a sample chapter, it's the whole book. Here the link:

I'm using EPUB file reader to open it on my pc. When I open it there are entire pieces of chapters missing (only the begining is present). Have you tried to open it? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this book is supposed to be around 500 pages long; it feels like whoever upload it didn't upload the whole thing. The file size also seems rather small for a book of this size.Tell me if it works for you.
That part opens fine for me too, but try clicking on a random chapter near the beginning and you will only get the first page; which contains the title and an illustration then it just goes to the next one, but that's it.
Everything's fine in here, after the first page there's practice goals, step by step instructions, tables, review and conclusion, that for each chapter.
Maybe it's just the software I'm using. I'll try it with calibre and see if it works.
Looking around and I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with books and advice on AP.
I'm kinda new to this fringe scene and i've been reading around so thanks.

Astral Dynamics.
Its the book in HTML form. Bretty good for AP'ing.
Any advice? I'm new as fuck when it comes to this.
Like how do I know i'm going out instead of exploring myself?
There is now an index for most libraries

I did take a look around the internet for a while and find it I did not.
I would recommend going to your local public library and seeing if they either have it, or can get it via an inter library loan. I've had to do that for the occasional rarer book. Once I even had to wait 3 months for it since there was only 200 copies in the US.
Are you sure he actually wrote a book with that name? I can't seem to find one, that said there are several of his books available under the The Temple of Solomon the King mega in the \Enochian\Eliphas Levi\ folder.
There does seem to be a discuession of his(?) tarot in Chapter XXII of The Ritual of Transcendental Magic however, maybe that is what you are seeking?
Can someone point me to some good free & available books that chronicle the norse mythology?
Also interested in Celtic mythology if anyones got that
sacred texts has a fair bit
The Emearld Tablets
1. Actual translations in raw, many of them
2. Doreal's interpertation

you can find the lucidology in one of the main 3 libraries in the sticky. Either here on on 8ch
Would anybody happen to have The Magical Use of Thought Forms in .EPUB format? The PDF in the mega "The Dark Tabularium" is low quality and with the text being small, it is very hard to read on my ereader.
See >>19 For the future you should probably ctrl + F the request thread too.
And just for you I converted it; I don't know what sort of ereader you have so you may still yet need to reconvert it, if so, I recommend Calibre. Some readers don't really work well with any (image/scan based) pdfs, if that is/was the problem you may need to find another one entirely; of which I already personally did some searching and did not find.
Oh, my apologies. What I meant by .EPUB though was mostly just text and formatting, as the text in the original PDF was just a low quality scan of the book. Even zooming in to read the words, they are rather "light" and hard to read.
My ereader can read PDFs, and I have read pdfs before without issue, it is just this scan which appears to be the only scan of the book available.
Hello fellow brothers in the Great Art.
I have been in the other forums, fringe, freedomboard, and wizardforums.
I have most of all the libraries, that are of good use. But there is one seemingly exceptional book that is talked about being one the best to work with and very very hard to find, especially in pdf format.
If ANY of you have a copy of this, it would help many through out the net and digital libraries.
I seek, 'Gateways Through Stone and Circle' by Frater Ashen Chassan.
Thank you in advance.
I hope to upload some of my own copies o0f various others in the near future. Blessings.
I had stated it was exceptional because of all the great reviews and success people were having with it.
It is not easily found because it was a limited number print, when it first came out in hardcover only and was selling at $400 or more(depending on the site). I see there is a paperback out now for $20, I might pick it up, if I can't find the pdf.
More than a request for a book, I'd like some guidance from someone who has read the Vampirism Folder in the Library.
The thing is, there's like 1.2 GB of info there, but nothing like a read order. I'd like someone's opinion on - let's say - the three must-reads to get a basic notion of it before jumping on the rest.
>Basically what would be the introductory book for Vampirism.
Next time please check the links in the sticky. That is where I found it.

Do you have a better one on this subject then? I read 1/2 of it and it was pretty solid stuff what I did see, the parts about how the flesh worked and processed stuff, treating the breath and digestion/food as sacred, etc.
>the parts about how the flesh worked and processed stuff
Based on that I'd recommend any book on biology.
>treating the breath and digestion/food as sacred
And why is this so good?
And above all - how is this connected to hatha yoga? Is a whole chapter on cleaning your ass necessary to some people? Maybe. Is that a subject for hatha yoga? No.
I'm not much into hatha, but I'd recommend hatha yoga pradipika, it contains practices which are a part of the real hatha yoga unlike Atkinson's book.
Moreover, keep away from Atkinsons "Eastern-themed" books (maybe from Western themed ones too, but that is arguable). They are pure disinfo, but the topic was hot in the occult community so of course our salesman wanted to have a piece of that pie.
>Is a whole chapter on cleaning your ass necessary to some people? Maybe. Is that a subject for hatha yoga? No.
>but I'd recommend hatha yoga pradipika
Confirmed not knowing what you are talking about. Hatha Yoga Pradipika also has a chapter on anal cleansing. It's classic yoga teaching.
The early orientalists and theosophists tried to wash such things away to adapt it to victorian era England, so the "western yoga" usually leaves them out.
That just goes on to show how Atkinson is legit by presenting the actual teachings. And this also show the truth behind those who complain about Atkinson in here.
>also has a chapter on anal cleansing
One shloka is hardly a chapter, but I confess I was mistaken, I was never much into hatha as I already stated.
So where in his book did Atkinson contain all the others elements of the system?
Atkinson had hardly any materials to write a proper book on anything Hindu related as he didn't speak Sanskrit. All he had was some theosophist translations, which were often misleading.
>So where in his book did Atkinson contain all the others elements of the system?
He has them spread through many books. Of course adapted and limited to western practitioners. Still it's good for one who doesn't want to find a master yet.
>Atkinson had hardly any materials to write a proper book on anything Hindu related as he didn't speak Sanskrit. All he had was some theosophist translations, which were often misleading.
We don't know. He presents them well anyway.
>He has them spread through many books
Why not present hatha yoga teachings in a book on hatha yoga then?
>We don't know.
We do know. At the time of his life theosophist materials were the only English source that delved into Hindu esotericism (apart from writings of Sir John Woodroffe, which were a bit faulty too and they were about Tantra anyway - a subject Atkinson never showed any interest in as far as I know).
>Why not present hatha yoga teachings in a book on hatha yoga then?
They are books about hatha yoga.
>We do know
We don't. He may have had a master. He may have known another language.
>They are books about hatha yoga.
Which ones?
>We don't. He may have had a master. He may have known another language.
You have me here. We both know that I don't care so much as to research his life just to prove you wrong.
>Which ones?
He has a book called hatha yoga. And others that deal in related matters, Science of Breath, Water Cure. And also some on the philosophy.
>Based on that I'd recommend any book on biology.
Except most bio texts books are full of jewish disinfo

Hi, I would like to apologize for a misundestanding. The "Mentalism in a nutshell" was a section in Arcane forumla. I am the spurdo anon from question thread.
Since people are saying the books in the FAQ are mostly shit can someone guide me to a book/books to read?
I have read:
The Kybalion
The Arcane Teachings
The Arcane Formulas
Mind Power: The Secret of Mental Magic
Psychomancy
Mental Influence

I enjoyed Kybalion, formulas, mental magic, mental influence, but knew most of everything in Psychomancy. I have skimmed over series of lessons and it doesn't seem to interest me.
Astral projection, Mentalism, Clairvoyance, Telepathy

Looking for a good book on enchanting. I've just figured out imposed visualization, and a guide would be helpful.
I'm not particularly sure where to post this (and I don't think it needs its own thread), but I did a scan of The Good Alulim's "The Sword of Satan". It's basically a cryptic discourse against monotheism and in itself is proof of the efficacy of Thelemic magick. I'm not completely satisfied with the quality, but I think it's more than usable.

I can access the occult seed perfectly fine. If it ever really does get nuked/taken down just send an email to occultseed [at] gmail [dot] com and I'll find somewhere else to host it.
Thanks for correcting my record there. I'm pretty sure I have it downloaded too, I could always .rar it if the mega goes down
Austin Osman Spare - A Book Of Satyrs
My pdf only shows images and an introduction. I'm not in need of the book, just curious about it.
Hello, I went through he library and got dissappointed on how little there is about straightforward Nordic mythology. I'm requesting everything you've got on Nordic deities.
I found out that Nordic Shamanism is broken too, if anyone can drop a functioning copy.
Thanks in advance.
I don't actually like the guy at all, but I'll download these in case I get to hurt his wallet in any way.
Any good astral books that doesn't rely on paralysis? I am sort of looking for older books rather than ones created during this era.

They have the children of odin on there. An absolute first read for anyone going into the germanic paths.
Hello there, I got the painful .txt in the site, but for my own use and such, I made it a formatted PDF.
Enjoy.
I have a hard copy of the Practice Guide for IIH and I've read the others back when I had a free trial subscription to Kindle Unlimited (they're free to read on that service). I can't say I was terribly impressed by any of them, but the practice guide is the best of the bunch. It has a bit of good advice, but also has some sections that seem to completely misunderstand the steps of IIH, at least as I learned them. All of the books are also full of typos.
I had been thinking about transcribing the Practice Guide into a Word document and editing the typos and poorly worded sections for my own use, but gave up on it after I noticed its other flaws. It does have some good advice though, so I think I'll continue with the project and post it here when I'm done since there's interest.
Zamzar.com can convert between .pdf, .mobi, and .epub, among others. I've used it the other way around (.epub to .pdf for Library Genesis content) with excellent results. You don't need an account, you upload the file and they email you the conversion, and I've never had any spam trouble from entering my email there. I'd recommend getting the .pdf from Neophyte's Gold and converting it there.
Anything interesting in the Practice Guide on thought discipline? I'll get really skilled at that and then good enough at vacancy of mind to advance, but my mind will out of nowhere completely lose the knack for it, sending me back to square one. Being essentially stuck on Step I for three years has sucked. Just trying to find something
I know that feel, I've had very similar experiences that have stuck me bouncing back and forth between Steps 1 and 2 for the same length of time.
The main bit of useful advice for Step 1 Mental in the Practice Guide is that the initial thought control exercise is meant to be a passive observation with no influence on the thought process, and that unmanageable thought flooding during the exercise is a sign of trying too hard to actively force the process.Everything else in that section is more focused on the benefits of successful practice rather than the means to accomplish it.
I can attest to that advice on thought control, once you know that it becomes a breeze. Making my progress back though. Maybe for good this time, think I have it figured out. I'll quit being OT though
>start process with the specific intent of learning to communicate with my higher self
>my higher self interferes because I don't listen to it
What the fug are you on about?
OT?
Oh, and I have a bit of free time coming up in the next couple days so I might be able to get the practice guide transcribed soon. Check back Monday evening or so.
Ugh, typing is going slower than I anticipated and I lost all the transcribing progress I had made in the past. I'm about halfway done, but my free time has dried up for a couple days.
Anyone have these books?

Spring break starts in a week for me, I'll definitely be able to finish it then.
Curiously, as I've been re-digesting the material I've found some validity in a few things I thought were questionable before. The presentation and applications are still somewhat weak, but the underlying principles are worthwhile nonetheless.
