/grave/ - The Graveyard

Where that which should not have been rests.

Neophyte here…

Just thought I'd share some of my experiences as I make meditation a regular part of my life.

I've been reading /fringe/ books and meditating regularly for a few months now - at my level I can simply enter a mild state of trance in which I can see the stirring of the air around me - I would describe it as seeing 'white noise' in the air. Sometimes shadows and little spots of distortion seem to gather at my vision's peripheral and make me uneasy, but I usually manage to get over the uneasiness. I meditate in a dark room late at night with a small altar - sometimes with a single small candle or sometimes no light at all.

My own body seems to omit smokey whisps of this stuff (is it energy? or someting else?) - and when I focus on creating a thoughtwave I usually bring my attention to my hands and put them in position to make a ball… I keep my eyes open and sometimes manage to see distortion akin to LSD washover effect in the air between my fingers…

But just tonight as I was meditating I felt a rather "thick yet wet" sensation all around and in my right forearm/hand. And just for a few minutes I could barely see some strange movement around my hand and wrist. It was as if a small snake was making spirals around the contours of my arm. I saw several smaller bits of what I think might be other wriggly creatures. As I lost focus to becoming worried or excited at the prospect of the sensation being a good thing or some kind of blessing, I left my shallow state of trance and terminated my session prematurely.

Any ideas on what might be happening to my arm? When I snapped out of it, the skin around the arm was very damp.
