Do people on /fringe/ ever meet up, and form any kind of real association with one another? Personally, I would be open to it. Especially lately. I've been reading Gurdjieff, and his emphasis on the role of "groups" and "schools" in spiritual struggle and transformation is really giving me this desire to form these kinds of associations; associations that are action based, that is, based on doing and achieving tangible things in "spiritual" life, not merely learning or spreading knowledge.

Anyway, I'll just leave my email here, if anyone wants to correspond on any related topic. I don't browse these boards very often, and so I prefer email. I'm mainly interested in the thought of traditionalists like Guenon or Evola, and lately Gurdjieff. I'm also generally interested in Western ("mundane") philosophy. Anyone interested in starting some kind of correspondence should feel free to email me:

well, some of the ones i meet are hanging out near or around new age stores. Or somewhere near an open market. Anywhere that has "free" souls. (ironic when they are selling stuff at these markets.)

there's plenty of "new age" people where I live. Southern Cali is probably the new age capital of the world. "new agers" attach too much sentimentality to spiritual (don't even like that word tbh) activity. it's hard to reconcile that with my approach. i'm not talking about making "friends", i don't have issues with doing that, i'm talking about forming associations/relationships in a mutual struggle aimed at real attainment in "spiritual" matters.

Ive gotten by so far by finding energy sensitive mundanes from my friend group and slowly raising them into a magic system of pure self empowerment. Its really brought up my power as well by confirming I can show someone a path out of the mundane thought realm.

Then theres the few equal level mages I know, and they usually don't even take magic seriously. I cant even stay on a phone call with one of them for 10 minutes because the call gets glitchy from our energy mingling.

I've tried to turn local people over to the /fringe/ way before, bring up discussions about the paranormal/occult and offer them books, etc.

They seem to have an interest, but no passion in the subject, no drive for internal self-evolution. The only interest they have may stem from fictional series they like.

I offer people to help them develop their psychic ability and they decline. What could they find more fascinating?

I'm not a member of an order or fraternity.

Isn't that the 101 of fringe? I would say that could be very reassuring about the spiritual path.

It may or maybe not useful for you to know and even be a trauma to experience some of it.

It's rather interesting to know things before hand even though you could not possably know it because you "never" even saw it.

Like the people that are natural gifts of music or art. They appear to know it better than the teacher. People could probably joke about "you were probably some musician in your previous life" and be actually right about that. Better if they are born in the "right" family and have the seeds planted before the veil is completly up their eyes.

I wonder why psycologists don't try to figure out people by asking how they were in childhood before having to face socialization AND the modern world. If karma is a thing it would be much more clear when you look at the child instead of the adult.

Even your likes or dislikes, like the homuculus in alchemy. It could be a better representation of your true self if such thing exists.

Tbh it would be more simple to do it with another person since it would (for most I guess) to go to some type of dream-like state.

Maybe try the awaken mind, wake body tecnique to mantain the lucidity of the mind.

In "medical" terms your regular meditation should get you from beta state to alpha, yet you would have to go from alpha state to theta state (brain waves I mean).

Would avoid inducing that kind of state with external means. However I think It should be easier if you just shut down all your senses exept for the mental sense.

Maybe try the opposite, let your mind go to sleep but make sure your body is not confortable enough to let you sleep. Then try to gain some lucidity of mind.

Since Mossa is doing that astral course, people might end up having that sessions here.

Would, however, advice that doing that may trigger some unwanted things. Since there's a probability of some of us knowing each other from previous lifes that could be a risk but also a reward.

The question (in my opinion) should be, are you ready to face your karma first hand and deal with directly?

Also if you meet someone from your previous life it would be easier to recollect that memories- even if just in the sub conscious way or in dreams. Yet both people would be opening the gates that were closed since.

I agree, a cafe would be ideal. However, if people are financially strained, I'd suggest the arts warehouse I mentioned.

Otherwise, how about … "Loving Hut" ? I think there are two, one in Richmond and another in Northcote. I like Northcote better.

>"Loving Hut was created with a vision that all beings, human and animal alike, can coexist in peace, love and harmony with each other and the planet, offering an accessible starting point for all, no matter at what stage each may be on the noble transition to a plant-based diet."

Or there's Ray's Cafe off Sydney Rd in Brunswick. Which has a vegan menu that I like.

Suggestions?

>>9242

Let's set it on the 13th then, keeping the 12th open, just in case somebody else has issues with the 13th.

I don't anticipate much more happening than a discussion and meeting of the minds. I'd imagine activities such as walks in the park, group goetic summoning or energy work would be left in the future, assuming we hit it off.

Even people that are somehow open-minded to this stuff and even those whom want some of that "fringe" stuff confirmed are in a denial about it. They want BUT they have some blockage. It's like they really want to know that there's not just "this" yet find it hard to admit it.

Glad to see this is actually happening, if it goes on well and you organize another meetup in the coming months I'll suck it up and pay the $300 plane fee.

Might as well take a look around the museums and gardens since I've spent a grand total of 3 hours in Melbourne last time I was there and I couldn't do much sight seeing.

Are the royal botanic gardens better than the Sydney ones?

I just checked train prices. A return ticket is $130 - (cheaper if you have any concessions obviously)

Hitchhiking is cheaper as well. I can give you tips on where to start.

That'll give you money you could spend on a hostel. ($30 - $50 a night, usually)

Venue : Loving Hut - Northcote

>See picture

Day : 13th November (Sunday)

>Correspondences : The Sun, Wishes, success, happiness, all-purpose, no secretive work on Sunday.

Hour : Noon. See below,

> [11:00] Hour of Saturn: For getting organized, plowing through tedious work

> [12:00] Hour of Jupiter: For success in just about any activity you can imagine and for beginning anything important.

> [14:00] Hour of Mars: Good for activities that require muscular exertion, boldness, courage

Identification : We bring a bright Blue/Violet/Purple object to put on the table. Those colours being Jupiter colours.

Any other suggestions? Thoughts?

I'm not even close to being able to attend, but brining a bright colored object may not be exactly that easy for some people.

Then again, it can't be that hard to acquire such a colored object.

Admittedly I was going to go with "Hi! Are you here for the /fringe/ meetup?" but your idea is more exciting.

I have the perfect purple object to bring with me assuming they'll let me bring it into the restaurant…

It's called "lovinghut", I'm sure they'll be fine if you come in swinging a purple dildo around.

Ohhhh…. I don't know how to approach people without being a crazy person in Seattle. To be honest, what i said before was better than your attitude.

Go find these "new age" people talk to them, be causal and if the topic isn't skimming your 'spiritual matters' then move on. Slowly introduce your ideas to these people slowly over time, don't jump into the deep end all within the first day; gauge them..

As you go through people, some will/may speak out against you (It can be like high school), ignore them and keep seeking what you want. By the end you should have a bit of a following and you can all drink kool-aid you weirdo.

Can't speak for the others, but I had a ball!

We met up, Hung out, Chatted about ideas and theories. Shared info and discussed experiences, experiments and how to get the best mileage out of your beam katana. (Swordsman bro, Sucks you couldn't make it. You would have loved that stuff)

It was great company and I really hope we get to do it again. MMM Mk.3 Can't come soon enough!

Yeah, a real fine bunch.

It's great to catch up with others who've delved into this stuff and have some experiences to share.

Next time I'll make sure you feel the wrath of horse stance.

Goodluck on the other country anons for getting a meeting going.

Here's the PDF with the excellent modern guide to working with your body's energy. It explains how to actually move and be aware of your energy, rather than just 'visualizing' it.

I'm looking for the research on orgonite, I have to dig it out of my onenote notebooks, if that's where it is. Should be able to export it to a PDF then.

Ah! Robert Bruce. Yes, I've already read most of his stuff. Thank you though. My energy work (as far as I'm aware) is quite good for the most part. Just needed some to make some small tweaks. Might be worth a refresher.

>>9930

>We defiantly have to do this again.

Absolutely. Khan suggested we give it some time so we each are able to do some practice/training on our own and have more to share.

To that end, How do you guys feel about holding another meetup in two months from now? Although I'm down to hang with anyone from Melbourne anytime on a less formal basis! Lemme know.

I feel we've earned our own thread now, So I've gone ahead and made a fringe meetup thread. Hopefully others will be able to get some use out of it and make something happen in their respective areas.
