I did this one through horary astrology. I open a map for the question and identify the characters in the question as planets. With the signs and houses I get a time scale, and the aspects determine the time in quantity.
I was torn apart from my lover & soulmate by our families, they did everything they could to separate us, including kidnapping us from one another with physical violence.

I did notice that you have no reversed cards, so I'll assume you're not using them. More intuition is necessary this way, but we can still do it.
Alright, well you mentioned that you got the individual card meanings, so let's get the story down. You should treat every spread as a story, and each of the cards is a plot point within it.
Let's start with thoughts:

Starting with basic concepts, there is a firey act or thought, some great motion that links the ostensible feeling of defeat with its source: frustration over something not having worked out. You can imagine that there is a firey and passionate mental process that holds this together, some brazen internal act.
Let's move onto the outer plot points:
>10 of Cups, Ace of Wands, 6 of Swords
This story is that of a happy home and life interrupted by a burst of creative energy and leading to travel or moving on from the current situation. Look at how this plotline progresses: there is a happy situation of comfort that leads to moving on.
Now, we have no way to dignify this with reversals, and elemental dignities are not included in this spread, so we have to use our intuition. Given the mental state previous discussed, we can guess that the Ace of Wands represents an unhappy event that rocked the boat, or at least a negative reaction to a change, and your friend will eventually bail. Notice as well that the first and second cards (the central “bridge” cards) are both Wands cards, so it might occur to us pretty quickly that these are related, right?

As a matter of fact I have a question - how important is intuition in card readings? I mean, maybe I've been doing it the wrong way - perhaps I should relay more on intuition, as I am quite an intuitive person, than just learning the generally accepted meaning of each card by heart?
As an example, I've made a little reading today and I had quite a strong feeling how should I interpret a certain card. My interpretation was quite different than the "common one", it wasn't completely different of course and in a given situation I feel that it fits the card's archetype quite nicely.
How important is learning card's info from books anyway? Should I memorize each card, or just go with the flow as I did today? Or maybe both?
Do you know of any book that, in your opinion, is best for learning about each card's meaning?

You should, i cant say if you must tough. I give personal meanings to some cards. For example, if it has a river in its picture i could interpret the card as something occurring in a diferent country or a trip.
If it has a mountain, it could mean great risks with great rewards and so on.

If you want to scry it, it honestly depends on what the scrier can perceive or see. It's not a query I'd try with scrying, since the things you see when scrying are highly symbolic and most of the time the symbolism only makes sense to the querent in question. Not every divination method is catch-all, and it highly depends on the diviner.
If you'd like to divine something such as a name, the better and more straightforward methods are ones that focuses on letters in the alphabet. This is called Grammatomancy-- divination by letters. You can do this with, say, Norse runes or Ogham. For something like this, it highly depends on the intuition of the diviner to pick up what's "out there". It's also possible to use the English alphabet for this in the form of letters on a cube/tile.
For example, I would shuffle and lay out all 24 runes on the ground, then let my intuition guide me and pick out one rune at a time and note down the characters. I'd then reshuffle, and do it all over again until I feel that it's sufficient (again, tell with your intuition), then re-arrange the letters to form a word (or name, in this instance). Or you could just draw one rune out at a time and do the same thing.
It's highly time consuming, there's no guarantee, and you need some level of proficiency in solving anagrams.

This is where the reading gets a bit tricky.
