This can be seen most objectively in works about cultivating one's sexual energy but here's some proofs about why deviant expressions of sex are degenerate.
Females (or at loast those who are in the yin role of a relationship) absorb energy, thoughtforms, emotions, and DNA from the male (or the predominate yang in more degen one's). The sexual act of coupling can be extremely healing and also psychically attunes the partners together. This is no small detail though, to really become one with your partner you are required to continue this process for years if not decades to fully rectify your soul essences together. If one of you cheats or bonds with some one else outside you will become less attuned and it could also introduce great disharmony (psychic and physical) as well. Depending on the intentions and actions the healing factor can be entirely off set and often actually replaced with a greater degree of disharmony of being.
In the case of generate mating the ultimate act of creation is child bearing, the highest form of alchemy most ever do. In degenerate uses of sex it varies from merely being to stimulate the energetic system to actually being the channeling of mutually consuming lust energies without any higher creation at all and perhaps even the intentional goal of not creating. This brings out a fundamental blockage as the energy can not be properly channeled outside of male/female bonding because that is the cosmic balance yin and yang naturally seek. Yang always seeks yin and vise versa, what ever the embodiment is this mechanic at play in all relationships, sometimes more or less visibly. With homosexual relations the mechanism will result in either more yin (or yang) in a partner which is actually the opposite of their flesh's natural configuration and will thus manifest disease in their body and soul because of the disharmony being projected into them by their partner. Additional problems lie in that no matter how much a yin heavy a soul is if embodied in yang there will not only be that disconnect but also the literal inability to truly offer the intensity of yin that a yin embodied form could. There is no way around this, this is just the incarnative form we all must deal with.
