I was browsing 8chan's /pol/, where someone made a threat about secret societies and politics and the like.
It was mostly the usual (Bilderberg, Illuminati, etc etc) with nothing interesting.
But there was this one post that caught my attention. It read as such:
>There is a surviving cult of Hermes, the Greco-Roman god, in Washington DC.
>They mainly recruit from the better Washington DC universities, particularly those that have separate schools dedicated towards international diplomacy (so basically Georgetown, George Washington, and American Uni), but sometimes induct others though on the basis of merit, trust, and friendship with existing members.
>Remember that Hermes is the messenger of the gods, patron of travel, roads, boundaries, and trade. It's no coincidence that the recruits of this group tend to be involved in fields relating to these. A good number of their members these days are supposedly in the US diplomatic corps, banking, think tanks, academia, and others. As of late they want to exert more of an influence on national/international policy.
>I won't say much else. I'll leave a bread crumb for anyone who wants to investigate more:
>The Potomac Foundation
Does anyone know anything about this? Is there a hidden cult to a greek god in DC?
