Islamic mysticism?
What the fuck is this garbage. Anything Islamic and all abrahamic religions are pure trash. Get some taste in your choice of occult path.

Thank you for the link.
Would you mind giving a quick rundown of this tradition? I know nothing about it. If I remember correctly it had some touches of gnosticism, right?

Neoplatonism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism
No school or tradition is immune to the truth

But Sufism is basically a buzzword that can mean anything, usually it means some half asssed Buddhist approach to Islam
I'm an expert on Islam and everything, really but I'm so sick of terrorists and retarded Muslims that, being inspired by text that has influenced such filth would be a hypocritical travesty

You are barely making sense. Sufism is a quasi heretical branch of Islam with ties to the much older cult of Mithras. That’s why you see a Buddhist connection.

Unless what you have in mind is not Sufism, it must be related to the Quran, Which is the same piece of scripture currently being sullied for the sake of Terrorism

Anyways, if it is related to the Quran, this fancy description you have used "a quasi heretical branch of Islam with ties to the much older cult of Mithras" must just be one of many different kinds of Sufism...
Sufism is literally just a synonym for Esoteric Islam. Also, probably because the Quran is all about oneness and everything, the generally accepted rule of Sufism is that it is one to one. One teacher to one pupil, so there's not going to be a lot of widespread knowledge about the many different sects of Sufism, so to speak.

Funny you mention the term heretical, as it's exactly terms like that that terrorists misconstrue and then run around killing people

As for Buddhist connections, the vast majority of Islamic stuff is so incredibly exoteric that even any mention of the notion of awareness immediately makes it sound Buddhist.
Never heard of any 'Mithras' connection so I'd imagine it's obscure...
The more interesting connections though are the philosophical divergences perhaps influenced by Neoplatonism and the rest

I forgot where I read about the connection to the Mithraic cults so I can’t post it. But it basically said that esoteric Islam is not really Islam, but the way Gnostics and other groups (usually native spiritual practices) survived forced implantation of the religion in their lands. Mainstream Islam is as spiritually useful as mainstream Christianity (not at all). It’s all fucked. Ut hidden under the name Islam or Christianity (or Catholicism) are hidden the surviving traces of local legit spiritual practices.

There is an objective definition of Terrorists called Takfiri Extremists.
If you dare consider yourself respectful to the Quran, it would be first wise to clear the name, which is an extremely dangerous undertaking as it's asking for Terrorist organizations and perhaps even state actors to go after you.
Otherwise you are just as much acting in ignorance and arrogance. Feel free to abuse the Quran for your own selfish spiritual needs if you like.

You used the word "terrorist" in every one of your posts. What the hell?
This thread should be about philosophy and esotericism. Why do you want to make it about terrorists and "state actors"?

This thread is essentially about the Quran, because that's what Sufism means
