Electric Heat meditation
Get in your Asana position and relax. Slowly move your awareness through your microcosmic orbit until limbered up, then do it really fucking fast in a speedy rythymn. Continue by bouncing your awareness to random spots in your body, doing this should feel like a single spark landing on that area briefly, by now your body should be heating up at least slightly.
Doing this regularly will help you improve your concentration, awareness, and mastery of the electric fluid

I have a very simple meditation that never fails to fire me up.
>close the circuit by touching your palate with the tip of your tongue
>breathe in a little (10% capacity) into your abdomen
>tense up your perineum as you continue inhaling
>keep your abdomen relaxed and affected only by your breathing
>as you continue inhaling, feel the energy rise up your spine and touch your crown
>as you exhale, with your perineum still in tension, feel the energy swirl into your lower dan tian

It is key to keep your abdomen absolutely relaxed. Let it swallow up as you breathe in, and relax as you breathe out. The tension must be as focused as possible on your perineum (even to the exclusion of urinary and anal muscles if possible).
You will know you're doing it right when you feel a huge surge of physical energy, motivation and sexual urges right after exhalation.

In other news I just now was watching conspiracy stuff on YouTube and decided to do some Wim Hof breathing. When you stare at people's faces in still frames while your cells are CO2-saturated you tend to depth-point them pretty quickly (I've been practicing with objects) and their faces take a different quality. Almost like seeing them for the first time. Same facial features, but your brain identifies a different person. Shit got scary with some officials.

I find Mahamudra meditation to be quite blissful, entering it is simple and, in my experience, it is possible to feel a blissful physical sensation overcome you. It is very relaxing and peaceful.

1. Begin in a lotus position, eyes 75% closed, head tilted forward, focus on the space, not a singular point, 2-3ft in front of you.
2. Chant the mantra "OM AH HUNG". Om meaning compassion, Ah meaning action, and Hung meaning wisdom. We must have the wisdom to act on our compassion, and our compassion to act on our wisdom.
3. After about 5 minutes, rest in the state of Mahamudra. You will not always experience the physical sensation I described, but when you eventually do, you 'know' its there.

Yes, but until I had it explained to me the way I did there and I figured it out by myself, it had never produced the effects I now can see. "Microcosmic orbit" are just words. Qi Gong teachers say it to soccer moms all the time and they are unable to do it properly, so if the microcosmic orbit does anything less than take you a step closer to orgasm every round you do, then you are doing something else. I would advise to drop the label and start from scratch.

If anyone has the fringechan meditations that Librarian posted, those were good. The Soul Star chakra energy clearing ones. I don't think I'd cleared my energy in that way before and it was wildly effective for me. I'll dig around for them if no one posts them.

Here's the energy equivalent to a shower, and a mix of several techniques. Makes one more pleasant to be around.

Energy Clearing/Embodiment Meditation [with several optional additions in brackets]

Start in a decent peaceful setting, or as close to it as you can get. Near a friendly tree/in nature is best.

Begin by calling upon any benevolent forces that you like (angels, guides, friends that align with my higher good, for me), that may desire to assist you in clearing yourself.

Setting up a sacred space:
You can burn sage, palo santo, use essential oils, and/or use crystals to assist (selenite is a good one and a good rock shop will have long rods for ~$20).

If you desire, gather some energy that fits your idea of divine energy, and make a bubble around you. Either use your preferred technique or breathe energy into your spine and imagine it growing until it extends beyond your body.

Preliminary Self-clearing:
At this point you can bring in a shower(s) of light to sweep some energies out of your aura and into the earth.
When I'm doing an in-depth clearing I'll use a blue light to relax, a gold light and/or violet flame to clear, and a white or white+gold light to bring in my energy.

If you have any strong energetic cords/ties to others/emotions regarding them, I would suggest imagining a sword of light, and using that to cut through dark/negative ties, leaving the divine ones if you like, and then raising any ties from the root (representing dependence) or solar plexus (representing power struggles) chakras to the heart.

For even stronger ties, you may like to call upon the Higher Self of a person/people, and say
"I'm sorry [for any pain I may have caused],
I forgive you [for anything you may have done]
Thank you [for the lessons I learned/love I received],
I love you."

(Remember not to push away, as that causes a rebound effect. This is letting go instead.)

Call your soul to you, and imagine it nestling into your crown chakra, clearing the energy with its divine light of your true Self.

Imagine it working on your crown chakra in 4 steps

Clearing of any energy that is not yours/not beneficial.
Restoring the area to its original divine blueprint.
Balancing the energies.
Strengthening the energies.

When clearing and restoring, best to use a detached love to send away and to restore your energy, that may have been changed, back to a higher vibration.

Move from the crown down the center of your body, to the connection between the crown and the third eye area, and repeat these 4 steps.
Then move to the backside of your head/3rd eye and do the same.
Repeat with the connection from backside of chakra to front,
then with frontside.
Move through all of the chakras, finishing by settling your soul into your root, grounding into your body.

The following part is optional also I guess, but I do it every time.

I like to also work on my legs and arms, doing upper arms, lower arms, hands, sometimes aura near hands separately,
upper legs, sometimes knees separately, lower legs, feet (sometimes top and bottom separately because the bottoms of my feet sometimes lack flow.),

Finish by working on clearing your aura in general, and infusing it with whatever you like. The first time I was guided to do this, I put gold/love into my aura, making a sort of shield that would allow in only high energies/allow things to pass through without effecting me. (Another post can be made on the topic of shields though)

Left hand (STS), right hand (STO) and what I call the true path, which involves not falling for the duality, not serving 4th density entities of "dark" and "light" and instead serving your higher self's evolution (which is actually not serving anyone at all, just experiencing and growing).

You can glean this from Robert Monroe's books and Matrix V (both of which are very explicit) but also from Montalk's material, even though he does fall for the false duality and even more cryptic texts like the Kybalion. These entities seem to know, but take advantage of our ignorance and pretend it isn't so.

Read Matrix V if you can stomach it and extract what you can from it, or from Bob Monroe's trilogy. On /fringe/ we sometimes forget that beneath all the putrid garbage that is modern New Age there were some really advanced and intelligent people that laid good foundations before they were co-opted and turned into shit.

I've felt all my life this false duality was wrong, and I have had it recently confirmed to me by these texts (by """coincidence"""). There is an All, that is not what lays at the end of what they call the right hand path. And in any case your higher self is already your own god. The struggle disappears once you realize this true path is available to you. There is no karma unless you want it to be, no good and no evil, just experience.

Now, this doesn't mean Shiva can't fuck you up while you're incarnate. Or that you should be an asshole to him. These entities have a lot more power than you here. It's just that once you die, what you belong to is orders of magnitude more advanced than him or any other entity currently operating here. Spiritually becoming subservient to them is foolish and a waste of potential (and in some cases a waste of your whole incarnation).

Not sure if I think it makes sense or not, since I'd assumed deities to simply be manifestations of archetypes, and archetypes to be something like the largest splinters of the All. I may indeed be wrong. I've only read bits on fringe and mantak chia, and heard things from people. I believe the mantak chia thing said something about Taoism is evolving to the point where one merges with the Tao, but only after having advanced enough that one fully understands what that entails, and desires to do so.

I think this is actually indeed the right thing to do, but that following something like RHP to a fair degree is the easier way to go about it, allowing more channeled energy/working together with beings on that path. Like, I'd read somewhere that Devotion to a deity is a fast-track path to spiritual progress in these bodies.

I don't like struggle between sides or anything, and would choose rather to develop myself. But this way it's with friends that I'd trust more not to screw me over.

One idea I've internalized to some degree is that Truth is relative to a large degree, and what resonates with one is their Truth, and as such, I think a good way to find that is to find many ideas of a thing and find what they're all pointing to inside oneself.

The way I see it, deities are just a thoughform in 4th density. One that has been built up over millennia and has a lot of power in 4th and 3rd densities, but is still a 4th density thoughtform. An "astral" entity if you wish.
We on the other hand are 5th or 6th density creatures (depending on who you ask) which extend into 3rd density via incarnation and later 4th upon physical death.
In terms of power and knowledge, we as incarnations are lesser than these thoughtforms, but our nature is more complex.

The same way you become a character in a dream with their own limited memories and power, but then remember that character as "you" upon waking, and all the characters you've been in dreams are pieces of "you", those diversified splinters of the All are having different experiences on each density all the way from the All, unified to 1st density mineral existence, with different levels of awareness. You won't eventually merge into the All (that's time-bound thinking). You already are.

With that in mind, picture human incarnations as appendages of a 5th (or 6th) density being reaching into 3rd, while gods and other thoughtforms are strictly 4th density.
Now, that doesn't mean a particular deity or entity cannot be a higher density being coming down here for shits and giggles. All I'm saying is that we should be wary of considering any god as all-powerful and deserving of our worship, since technically we are such beings and we would be unknowingly giving our power to lesser entities.

I have yet to see magic done strictly through one's higher self ("high magic"?) fail to do anything any evoked spirit or deity can. Now, getting that connection to your higher self to function at full bandwidth (also known as being a fucking magus), that's a whole different story. It's far easier to work with regular spirits. Just know who you are, that you are not inferior nor superior, but at least equally deserving of respect. While incarnate those entities can fuck you up, but not past your 3rd density life, and your higher self can and will intervene to ensure you do what you came here to do (as per Montalk).

I'd always assumed the bigger deities like hindu ones were simply the big splinters manifesting in a form that indians understood and began to worship, giving more form to them in this density when the big splinters don't usually care to incarnate.

Well, in the table tipping and seance craze of the 19th and 20th centuries, there were instances of made up spirits manifesting and in fact, upon being questioned, those spirits believed their made up origin story was real [1]. The way I see it, they were molded out of ambient consciousness, the "consciousness field" or "the astral".
This way of doing magic, otherwise known as thoughtform creation, is the mechanism behind sigil magic, law of attraction style manifestation and many other enchantment techniques.
This gives you a first clue. The fact that humans can do this molding of consciousness into an organized thoughtform. This is something exclusively 3rd density beings (animals and non-spiritually awakened humans) cannot do. Tulpas have been known to do it [2], but it would be interesting to test different entities and see if they can do this.

One of the basic steps in these practices (sigils, law of attraction...) involves getting "past the psychic censor" as popularized by Chaos Magic or "really believing/wanting it", "not having subconscious blocks to your desire", "being free of sin", etc, but it's something even old cultures took into account when doing magic. In old Hawaian Kahuna magic, you could get fucked in the ass if you weren't deserving in your own eyes [3]. God (your higher self) won't listen to you (conscious mind) unless you're free of sin (subconsciously believe you deserve it). Suddenly the need to be clean and free of burden when praying to God in Christian and Muslim traditions makes a lot more sense. Whenever there is a trinity there is a pattern that is always present: in order to have a request fulfilled, one must send a message to the divine through some sort of moral filter. The Kahunas called it the lower self if I remember correctly. Chaos magicians call it the subconscious, and the pattern repeats almost everywhere you look if you know how to look for it [4]. Moreover, this God does not speak using language. In my experience (I have not yet found a book that says this other than Matrix V), if something talks, it is 4th or 3rd density. Higher beings use telepathic packets of information exclusively (although lower thoughtforms can use them as well). Since one's higher self, guardian angel, or whatever you want to call it, doesn't speak under any circumstance (ancient cultures have animal guides instead of human ones for a reason), it is reasonable to think it is of a higher nature.

Note that in order to listen to your higher self (remote viewing, scrying...), you need to shut up your talking mind and let pure impressions come through.

I am still experimenting, but I haven't been able to disprove the fact that humans have pretty amazing powers that even some "demons" and "angels" do not have. We just seem to have forgotten how to use those powers, while those creatures can use them right away. Another interesting aspect of spirits in general (including archons and astral parasites) is that they seem to operate mechanically, without free will. Like dumb programs [5]. A demon designed to fuck shit up will fuck shit up when you tell it to or fuck you up when mishandle it, but they will not dislike you because of your hair style unless it's something predefined in their lore. Raphael heals, Sandalphon guides. The backstory of entities seems to act like some sort of programming (see [1] and [6]). In terms of artificial intelligence, they seem pretty advanced, since they can direct you to more suitable entities for your request, but they cannot do things they are not "designed" to do by their lore/backstory/definition [7].

Perhaps gods are of a higher nature. According to Robert Monroe (in his journeys trilogy), there are entities of the same density as our higher self who do not participate in the game of incarnation, but you can encounter them astrally and they sometimes demand worship or are assholes in some way, claiming to be gods. They can kill your incarnation (but not mess with your higher self) so logically they could affect the physical if you gave them what they want. These are not dumb programs. It is perfectly possible that gods are an exception to my theory and are in fact higher beings one can only contact astrally. I have never read about an entity higher than our higher selves interacting with humanity. We are probably too far removed to be of consecuence to them (the Demiurge or Lovecraft's Outer Gods?). This is where my research is at the moment.

I hope this wall of text makes sense. The structure of the wider reality I have in my mind is very solid and whenever I find a piece that can be disproven, I replace it. But maybe I am not able to communicate it well enough yet. I have toyed with the idea of making a series of diagrams to try and explain what I have essentially tried to explain in this post, but on the one hand I don't think it's useful to tell people what is what (like Matrix V does) without them having their first hand experience first, and on the other perhaps this is not as a big deal as it seems to me and most people already know this and more. In the end I think it's better if each one of us does their own research and learn on their own for maximum profit.

I'd say the best method is to actually get contacted in order to learn to distinguish external entities. It happens to me sometimes at night, that entities come fuck around and the physical feeling is unmistakeable.

Evocation should do it. When you evoke an entity successfully you will know the feeling right away.

I think literally meditating is one. Insomnia means you’re restless. Meditating should remedy that. Even meditating during the day should help.

Whenever I've tried meditating in bed in the past it relaxes me but I never get sleepy at all.
Last night I did some experimenting and I think I found that in order for sleep meditation to work correctly I need to actually shut down my active mind, or consciousness. Whenever I meditate when awake I instead use my active mind strictly monitor my passive mind, or unconscious, so as to build my control over it.
The best technique for this so far seems to be an inverse of void meditation. Whereas in that technique you control your unconscious so that it produces nothing, in this one you must control your consciousness so that it produces no judgements about the thoughts spawned by the passive mind, and also so that it does not seed the passive mind. It's similar to the technique wherein the passive mind's thoughts are neutrally monitored, but instead of gently pushing them away you perform no action on them at all.

My goal is to get to the point where I can reliably do wake-induced lucid dreaming every night instead of regular sleep, but right now I just fall asleep while trying most of the time. Any meditation that promotes discipline. I'd say void, but basically any "boring" type meditation where you train your mind to focus upon the pebble infront of you, in the speed and intensity you choose. Consistency is key obviously.
