I keep thinking up experiments I want others to do and give me feedback. I was going to post this on /x/ under CHAOSVOID but they never fucking report back and this is rather simple so I'm going to ask /fringe/ to do it instead.

I want you guys to get two batteries. I want you to check both batteries and I want you to ascertain that one battery is not fully charged and the other is.

If you can only find two fully charged batteries, then drain the energy from one by using it in some electronic or whatever, and then check again to make sure it's not fully charged then take it out.

If you can only find two batteries that are not fully charged then put one into the re-charger and make sure it's fully recharged.

Once you have one battery which is partially drained of its energy and one that is fully charged, I want you to put them in a pouch or something and keep them with you close to your body all day for several days.

Then I want you to check both of them again.

If you find that both need recharging after several days, you are the kind of person who draws energy from his environment and drains electronics and other things around you. Essentially an energy vampire.

If you find them both recharged in full then you are the sort of person who emits energy to his surroundings all the time and raises their energy level.

…and if neither change then I guess you need to give it more time for them to be influenced by your energetic field or you're somehow energy neutral.

Tell me your results if you want to do this.

We could also do this with plants and seeing how we influence plant growth but we'd need to have very highly controlled conditions where each plant has the exact same nutrient solution, same ambient temperature, same lighting, etc. and also each plant is same genetic material (clones). It's a bit harder to do then.

I need to go outside in the woods tomorrow and pick up things that I could experiment with, things that we can all obtain outside or in a forest and try to do some shamanistic experiments or alchemy with them. Its sad that I have zero plants so I am unable to try to do that :/

What do you propose as the mechanism for this recharging or draining, i.e., why do you propose this experiment in the first place?

Conventionally there has to be a significant potential between the two electrodes of the battery for it to charge, unless you're proposing something completely different.

It might be possible for a person's electromagnetic field (aura) to charge or discharge a properly oriented battery at an extremely slow rate, but I severely doubt it. I won't dismiss anything out of hand though, experimentation is always good.

>If you find that both need recharging after several days

Some batteries leak power by themselves, a result like this isn't conclusive.

No.7525
I've got tons of dead batteries and I can go buy new ones tomorrow, though I feel like batteries aren't the best way to figure something like that out due to batteries leaking on their own or other environmental factors.

Of course, I'm going to do it anyway to see the results. Will report back later. While we're at it, can we share more experiments?

I'm already aware that I drain energy from the environment around me without intention, but I can increase the drain if I want to.
Honestly, it isn't so much of a conscious choice as an inherent quality. People tend to get cold around me, too.
Also, about your experiment, wouldn't it work better with batteries that are specifically rechargeable? It could cause issues with those that aren't.

I have a new experiment I have been working on /fringe/ want to try it out for yourself?

I thought to myself – if fear, doubt, and other negative qualities influence what manifests in our reality then I should be able to approach a thing I want to do with any kind of emotional expression and cause it to manifest.

e.g. I could fear that I am healing and that I will be trapped in my physical body too long and be kept here in the physical when I want to move on, I can love that I am healing and that it enables me to better carry out my spiritual missions without bad health problems getting in the way, I can use anger to force myself to heal, I can doubt that I won't heal and work up the feeling that I'm going to be let down when my body ends up healing and doing the opposite of what I was hoping for which was not to heal, etc.

In this way I can ride through any emotion and many different activities and yet still be focused on the same goal for manifestation.

Going further with this is another idea – the idea of thinking of everything as a magical ritual, as a part of the plan, INTENDING that EVERYTHING YOU DO is going to cause a certain effect. So lets say I want to develop a more clear thoughtform then EVERYTHING I DO I should feel that it is in some way part of the plan for the manifestation of this more intense thoughtform. Whether it's playing a game I will frame it in my mind as a way to achieve that goal, talking to people to take their loosh to power the thing, sleeping in order to power it, eating it in order to power it, etc. absolutely everything action I shall intend to be a cause of this metaphysical development.

In this way everything that I do is channelled into and focused towards the goal. The particular goal I have becomes an obsession then which I link to and relate to everything. Personally I've been doing this with opening the chakras for example. I relate everything to the process and change how I do things a bit so that everything feel it's working towards that thing. The results have been very positive for me so far. It's like I'm hooking in all the energetic and conscious currents into my manifestation goals and making them manifest more powerfully and quicker in this way.

The only thing not to do is something that you feel doesn't support the goal then. Make EVERYTHING a part of the plan, everything becomes one big ritual or series of rituals, it all goes together.

Tell me what you think of this idea and if it works for you /fringe/. Remember what montalk says here:

>"This “mind affecting reality” can all be done through intermittent sessions of emotional broadcasting, or by having it become the default constant “climate” of your consciousness. The latter is better of course, since ten minutes of resonating with relief and gratitude may get overridden by the following sixteen hours of stress and worry."

http://montalk.net/notes/reality-creation-redux

In this way I am intending that instead of just a few minutes of resonance and intent EVERYTHING I do is tied into a psychic goal and everything empowers it. It's quite chaotic and wonderful.

Here's something I'm going to do in the next couple days. I've been keeping it secret because I don't want others mental influences getting in the way but fuck it – if it becomes too much I'll devise a different experiment for myself to do.

1. Go out and buy a candle, make sure NOBODY ELSE TOUCHES IT.
2. Take your candle and wrap it up so as few people see it as possible. Might be a good idea to also pick a candle in the back of the shelves or something that less eyes may have gazed upon or random hands touched.
3. Bring your candle home into your room. I suspect your room should be very clean and hopefully not accessed much by other people, but you got to work with whatever you have…
4. Now take a good look at your candle. Turn it around, feel it, make it your own and nobody elses. Connect with it.
5. Smell it, remember the smell.
6. Meditate upon it, the candle shall be held within your mind.
7. Put it aside in hiding for awhile if you like or proceed with the next step once you feel the candle is yours.
8. Light the candle and go into a trance.
9. Hold your mental hand in the candle – your hand will not burn.
10. Repeat this over & over using thoughtforms, astral energy, intense focus and trance until you're actually able to hold your physical hand in the candle flame without it burning.
11. When you finally hold your handle in the candle flame and it does nothing at all to you, you won't be surprised, you will have expected it and it feel completely normal to you in your trance state.
12. Bonus points for filming this like I'm going to and then posting it on /fringe/.

You need to practise manipulating heat in your body btw through tummo meditation and other means like exposing yourself to a lot of heat or cold and making it have no effect on you such as in a shower.

Another thing I want to do after mastering this is to make water move with my mind and make water freeze with my mind.

At an advanced stage I'd like to make water form into beautiful sculptures with my mind which then freeze into form for anyone to see.

The best thing about these experiments is I KNOW they've been done before so I KNOW they are possible.

Why do you limit yourself by hiding a candle from others? I understand not explaining what it is for and all that. However, isn't that just spreading seeds of doubt?
I worry that if your foundation for this practice is so secretive you will be limiting yourself, by the time you manifest these powers. You wil be able to do them in private but no one will see what cool work you are doing. aside from probably us.

That's like asking me to start meditation in a really variably noisy place where people shout and then things go quite and then they talk and so on, perhaps a television is playing and the noises from the movie or something are variable, you know. Those conditions are practically impossible to work under when starting out.

I need to withdraw from all mental influences and other variables that can hold back the work until I am powerful enough to overcome the added noise of others activities. Start in the darkness, then move on out into the light.

I thought to myself, what way is the most powerful form of release. Sadness just as happiness is a worldwide known effect that is contagious. I guess laughter might be able to used to now that i think about it but i tried the opposite. Probably because i am more of a negative guy than positive. So i listened Now we are free and imagined my sister got killed. Morbid I know.

The batteries i had in my pocket were like 1 bar, basically gone on my xbox controller. Now they are two. Holy fucking shit is this real life? Kind of sucks though if you need to be crying to utilize it.

Can someone try it with laughing? Need to go do a few things right now and would love to see if there is a fast effect from it. This is pretty fucking cool.

Experiments in Psytrance, Inducing Synesthesia and Exploration of Worlds of Vibration

A few years ago, using psytrance and weed I managed to go from inducing synesthesia to separating from my body and entering a very intense world made of musical vibration. It only took a few weeks to do this and it wasn't difficult at all.

I'd like to create an experiment to see if the method is reproducable while sober, or while intoxicated in other people.

The method is simple, lie down with headphones on in the dark with your eyes shut, listen to psytrance.

If sober it would be best to enter into an energised state where you have a strong sense of your etheric body before doing this.

When lying down you can focus on the vibes in your body or focus on your vision, invite the music to influence both. Switch between them if you feel like, or focus on one during one session and then the other during another session. Eventually the two will merge and if fully successful you will detach from your body and enter into a realm that is made purely of music in an energetic form, what you hear, what you see and what you feel will merge and you'll be able to "travel" through the music in a very real sense.

If you're interested in taking part in the experiment please tripfag so we can record and follow your individual development.

When reporting experiences remember to include the state of mind you were in before the experiment, the specific psytrance compilation you listened to, what you experienced and whether or not you were sober.

Weed seems to help a LOT with this, mostly because it allows you to separate out the different streams and nuances of sound which develops into spatial dimensions creating the "musical world".

If you're not getting high before trying this then try to focus on separate aspects of the music and try to separate them out in your mind. "Ride" each stream of sound.

If you don't mind intoxicating yourself smoke some sativa before the experiment.

http://www.ektoplazm.com/ is full of free psytrance, some types work better than others so if nothing interesting happens straight off it may be due to picking a lousy compilation, this is where group participation will help, if someone had good resuts with a specific compilation, try that one next.

Psytrance done well is music designed to alter your consciousness, it is the modern high tech version of shamanic drumming. It's often very overwhelming and chaotic which creates the right sort of state for interesting things to happen.

I often experienced entity contact while doing this so don't be surprised if something shows up, they were all friendly btw.

1. Go into a dimly lit room
2. Get a pack of cards, shuffle it
3. Draw one card at a time, close eyes and stare at the back of the card
4. (Optional) See the back of the card with your eyes closed - see https://freedomboard.kirara.ca/fringe/res/5468.html
5. Concentrate on the other side of the card, think of nothing else
6. Wait for an image to flash before your mind's eye. If you did it right you will be sure beyond a doubt what the card is.
If you're doing it wrong, you'll see contradictory images and be unsure. Stop speculating, don't rush, and concentrate. Three minutes per card isn't slow.
If you can't get anything after a couple minutes, try to at least figure out which suit it is. If you can't do that put it aside. Don't guess like I did.

Data from my first rushed try:

At 16 cards drawn, 2 I knew exactly.
At 52 cards drawn, 6 I knew exactly. Plus a bunch more I knew the number or the suit but not both.

Expected values if I were randomly guessing and had a perfect memory about which cards were already drawn:
At 16 cards: 0.36 correct
At 52 cards: 4.5 correct

I didn't record when I drew those cards though. I lack the skills necessary to analyze this properly. It would have been much easier if I had not looked at the cards after seeing them (then the chance of guessing correctly would always be 1/52), but it would be a pain to work for a couple hours and not have any clue how you're doing.

I'm pretty sure this works, anyways. Someone give it a try. You don't need to close your eyes but it makes noticing the mind's eye's vision easier.

Ok guys I think I may have figured out something with so-called "pyramid power"
I have a green laser pointer I got for cheap a long time ago and I recently bought a quartz crystal shaped like a pyramid. Knowing about how pyramids in ancient Egypt supposedly directed energy from the tips at the top of them to the bottom and outward, and using my semi knowledge of magick and "radionics", I realized energy can be carried over light. So therefore I left my pyramid in the hot California sunlight to charge it then I aimed the green laser at the tip of the pyramid downward so the beam would refract outward with it and I left the pyramid bottom on an opaque surface. Having tuned into energy, I could strongly feel a strange tingling sensation all over after pointing the laser at the crystal pyramid. i then proceeded to fix the laser pointer in place above the pyramid and continued to feel this feeling. Any negativity or stress I had seemed to cease and I felt positive. I am still unsure about this experiment but I tried it the way I did and have never had such an experience like this with energy.

Your post made me think of something. A lot of folktales mention various magical entities capturing children specifically. I bet this is because children usually have more enhanced imaginal powers and thus are more useful (or threatening) to them as well as more likely to attract them whereas adult humans tend to be fixed in their worldview and to have let their minds atrophy so they aren't very interesting so much to metaphysical entities.

I remember reading somewhere that it's known statistically that houses with poltergeist activity usually have young children in them and it starts to go away when they get older. Probably do the unrestrained imaginations of children who haven't yet been told they can't do this or that which is supposedly "impossible".

i've been there! FOREVER indeed…

i used a different text editor though, and then instead of posting the links online somewhere i pasted the links into an empty irc channel so i could click them. there was also an option in my irc client to open the links automatically in a browser -as they show up in the channel - but there were so many that i didnt want to risk it

This is really cool idea. I will try your experiment. I have a battery dying in my razor and some more new batteries in the package.

I'll put a mark on the dying battery just incase they both switch.

>read in "Autobiography of a Yogi" that he willed a pimple to show up on his arm and within one day it happened
>decide to test this for myself
>spend about 12 hours straight just writing up posts where I imagine I have terrible acne all over my face and posting them on wizardchan, managed to completely convince myself what I was writing was true while doing it, until I snapped out of it later btw
>by the time I'm done + a few hours, my whole fucking face is covered in pimples with about 7 or so major pimples and many smaller ones
>holy fuck it worked, my face is a mess now!
>spend the next day affirming to myself I have beautiful smooth skin and feeling that it is true
>convince myself, contrary to any physical evidence, that I really do have it
>all that acne I made appear on my face is quickly going away now, only a few of the major pimples are left and they are smaller, and the many smaller ones are either gone now or almost completely gone

That was amazing how well that worked. Now if I can just do it more intensely and faster I might be able to cause more extreme changes to my body. I am not sure if I can also make it work for my eyes, it's REALLY HARD to convince myself I have good eyesight while everything is a blur around me. I might have to just lay down in bed for several hours straight with eyes closed so I can't know the difference while imagining some random stuff and intermittently injecting some thoughts about having really good eyesight and making up stories in which I had really good eyesight and maybe I will make an appreciable change to my eyes.

If I ever get my eyesight back to 20/20 though I will truly consider myself to have advanced beyond neophyte at that point and to be an accomplished wizard.

I think reading http://www.yogebooks.com/english/atkinson/1922personalpower.pdf 's first big section is important. To start changing the body you first need to stop identifying with body as being purely you.

Also, from another book (The Extrasensory Potentials of Mind) I shall quote the following:

Scientific findings reveal that the maintenance of phosphorous in the body does not depend as much on the food intake and digestion as it does upon the mental condition. The same is approved in the case of several, other biochemical and physiological functions. These findings indicate the scientific implications of the above-cited scriptural descriptions (about the role of sun, etc). These also affirm the vital dependence of the gross body upon the subtle, and thus support the double-body theory of the Occult Anatomy.

Meaning: Only those, who are endowed with true knowledge and have sincerely adopted religion in every aspect of life, can enter the subliminal realms of existence. The sages, whose minds have reached and enlightened the innermost core of sentiments, they alone can contact and grasp the ‘messages’ of the great souls that have realized ultimate siddhis and are residing in the divine world. Those who recognize themselves in terms of the physical body are ignorant, living in illusions. How could they (their gross mind) traverse through the subtle channels to timeless world beyond (the space…)?

Tatr3nya Samkalpapura® Dehoanyo Labhate Katha® ||
-Yoga Va. 3|21|43

Meaning: While the gross physical body of a person can’t even enter his own inner world (of thoughts, sentiments and intrinsic faith), how could it ever experience the mental world or inner thoughts and emotions of the others? The rare experiences of precognition and telepathy give us the glimpse of the immense power of the inner faculties of mind. And endorse the possibilities that the subliminal potentials of human mind are infinitely more powerful than those of the gross – manifested in the physical body and common intellectual transactions. It is interesting to note that people of the western world have been more keen on recording, reporting and studying such experiences as compared to the Indians, whose ancestors – the rishis had realized, developed and propagated the absolute knowledge of the supernormal powers of human mind.

Funny you mention that OP. When I was a kid I used to a couple of random stuff into my pockets when going outside - most usually batteries just so I could feel like I wasn't leaving the house empty handed or whatever. It was so stupid and I stopped doing it pretty quickly as I was worried about going to a store with them and then the alarm ringing and I would have to explain why I was carrying some batteries in my pocket…

This could probably have no relation to your experiment but it did make me remember this stupid thing I did as a kid so whatever.

Basketball Games of the Mind

As incredible as the evidence culled by the above-mentioned researchers is, it is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the control the holographic mind has over the physical body. And the practical applications of such control are not limited strictly to the matters of health. Numerous studies conducted around the world have shown that imagery also has an enormous effect on physical and athletic performance.

In a recent experiment, psychologist Shlomo Breznitz at Hebrew university, Jerusalem had several groups of Israeli soldiers march forty kilometers (about twenty five miles), but gave each group different information. He had some groups march thirty kilometers, and then told them they had another ten to go. He told others they were going to march sixty kilometers, but in reality only marched them forty. He allowed some to see distance markers, and provided no clue to others as to how far they had walked. At the end of the study {88} Breznitz found that the stress hormone levels in the soldiers’ blood always reflected their estimates and not the actual distance they had marched.10 In other words, their bodies responded not to reality, but to what they were imaging as reality.

According to Dr. Charles A. Garfield, a former National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) researcher and current president of the Performance Sciences Institute in Berkeley, California, the Soviets have extensively researched the relationship between imagery and physical performance. In one study a phalanx of world-class Soviet athletes was divided into four groups. The first group spent 100 percent of their training time in training. The second spent 75 percent of their time training and 25 percent of their time visualizing the exact movements and accomplishments they wanted to achieve in their sport. The third spent 50 percent of their time training and 50 percent visualizing, and the fourth spent 25 percent training and 75 percent visualizing. Unbelievably, at the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York, the fourth group showed the greatest improvement in performance, followed by groups three, two, and one, in that order.11

Garfield, who has spent hundreds of hours interviewing athletes and sports researchers around the world, says that the Soviets have incorporated sophisticated imagery techniques into many of their athletic programs and that they believe mental images act as precursors in the process of generating neuromuscular impulses. Garfield believes imagery works because movement is recorded holographically in the brain. In his book Peak Performance: Mental Training Techniques of the World's Greatest Athletes, he states, “These images are holographic and function primarily at the subliminal level. The holographic imaging mechanism enables you to quickly solve spatial problems such as assembling a complex machine, choreographing a dance routine, or running visual images of plays through your mind.”12

Australian psychologist Alan Richardson has obtained similar results with basketball players. He took three groups of basketball players and tested their ability to make free throws. Then he instructed the first group to spend twenty minutes a day practicing free throws. He told the second group not to practice, and had the third group spend twenty minutes a day visualizing that they were shooting perfect baskets. As might be expected, the group that did nothing showed no improvement. The first group improved 24 percent, but through the power of imagery alone, the third group improved an astonishing 23 percent, almost as much as the group that practiced.13

Anyone that wants to get fit and develop their body keep this study in mind.

I personally decided to act on it when I read it at first and this year have had more improvement in my performance as an athlete then in every other year and that's even with the fact I'm not dedicating much time to it at all as I'm still reading a lot and doing other things.

Pure meditation alone upon the physical acts, so long as your imagination is intense and you feel that you are really doing it, results in amazing increases in power in the body and actually makes your muscles feel that they are changing when you do this and getting sore.

I suggest testing yourself one day to see what your peak power is for everything then doing just 1/6th of that or something negligible and then using meditation/visualization for the rest every day.

You will have massive improvements. I will take this to an extreme later but I got more reading to do and have interest in developing things other then my physical body.

Thing is I can't visualize worth squat, it only comes in pieces and fragments that none are clear and keeping a stable scene goibg in my minds eye is difficult.

I cant really get lost in my fantasies and imagination as much as I would like to.

Do you have any tips you may have collected on how to improve your visualization skills specifically?

No.16010>>16018
>>16008
Keep practicing, try the visualization exercise in the Book of Knowledge where you have to visualize yourself walking through a forest.

What I also do is slowly build up the scene starting with the "camera" of my view the eyes, then building up my body and then moving on to the surroundings.

I have found visualizing things like that creates the presence effect I believe you're looking for.

Another thing is to find a youtube video with forest sounds and try to visualize that forest with the sound already playing into your ears.

I'll test it out.

>Do you have any tips you may have collected on how to improve your visualization skills specifically?

Visualize all the fucking time, whenever you possibly can. When I walk I look around and see 3D numbers all over the place. I count things by seeing numbers. I constantly visualize shit throughout the day and intensify my visualization at night. I find that visualizing a simple object like a number and then rotating suddenly boosts visualize capacity really fast, so to go quickly into deeper trance I simply visualize something then rotate it seeing it from many different angles, then keep visualizing more stuff.

I have a very highly developed visual capacity and will take it to greater extremes in the future.

I opened the link and set the numbers from 1 to 100. I focused on the name 'True Random Number Generator'. I closed my eyes and clicked Generate. I didn't see anything, but number 68 popped in my mind. However, when I opened my eyes, I saw 17. However, I repeated what I had done and the next number was indeed 68.

I focused on 68 again and got 67. Again, 69. Then, 2. Then, 23. Then no more numbers close to 68.

It seems the lust for results caused that.

No.16055>>16059
>>16050
I do a different thing where I set a random number generator to 0 or 1 and then no matter what the result is I always react exactly the same way to it, repeating the exact same thoughts. This results in long strings of 0's or 1's happenings. Got to ignore the reports of the senses and not react to them, like in The Law and The Promise.

At first I get pretty random results but then I reach a point where my thoughts kind blend together so I might at first be like…

"It's a one, It's a one, It's a One"

but eventually that just becomes

"ooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

and that produces long strings of the same.

If a single other thought interrupts it fucks it up.

I also try to get perfect alternating "zero, one, zero, one".

I succeed at alternating the numbers, but I got excited and it seems to mess things up, haha.

I placed a razor head that went dull under a small cardboard and foil pyramid for about a week. Then I shaved with it again and it was completely sharp, like new, even with low battery in my razor.

This is kind of interesting.

I did the first test and guessed correctly 7/10 times.

The second test, I only managed to 'force' 5/10 attempts, but interestingly I found that the times I failed to do so, I had to force 'harder', as if I knew it was going to be the other number and felt greater resistance while imposing my selection.

I would perceive it was going to be one number, and so tried to make the other one appear so I wasn't just repeating the first test, but each time I did this it turned out to be the number I perceived it was going to be to begin with.

Not a big enough test group to draw anything significant, but interesting nevertheless.
