This is the highest purpose of magic:

At birth only a third part of the Divine Nature of man temporarily dissociates itself from its own immortality and takes upon itself the dream of physical birth and existence, animating with its own celestial enthusiasm a vehicle composed of material elements, part of and bound to the material sphere. Ideally through training under a guru or within a temple, lodge or mystery school.

"Self Initiation" is a possibility, training through reading books and applying the exercises and principles contained therein, but this option is, for the vast majority, either very slow or outright impossible, for various reasons. Realistically, more or less the only people who can achieve this in a timely manner are those who already reached a significant level of magical and spiritual attainment in previous incarnations, and as such are undergoing as much a process of remembrance as actual development.

It is however, partially possible to overcome this limitation if one can manage to develop far enough to become capable of contacting spiritual entities (either through evocation, projection, dream states, etc), at which point a suitable discarnate teacher can generally be requested to continue training under.

I don't know and I don't trust anyone to guide me through this shit because I've been trying to achieve metempsychosis for a very long time and nobody else has ever been able to help me.

I have my own theories though and think that given enough time and the right conditions I will eventually succeed.

Look up the new youtube channels added to the sticky (EsotericAudioBooks and MasonicBooks). You can find an audio copy of The Secret Teachings Of All Ages. Personally I've listened to it through twice.

I don't like cults / groups / following a leader who I don't believe really knows much.

I've had a natural ability for magic though so I don't need guidance much, it's like you've said basically just remembering.
