>>16386I am not very familiar with the theory, since my background is in the soft sciences. However, I think that it may be possible that the universe essentially operates on two dimensions. Perhaps there are no such thing as "dimensions"; my manuscript does allude to that.
The current, physicalist paradigms that are abound in the sciences (and in philosophy as well) never struck me right. Most of the professionals seem to think that they know more than they actually do. That would be fine if they left the door open to other theories, but most don't want to entertain the idea that their systems are based on faulty grounds. There is simply too much to be lost for them if they did that.
As for Consensus Reality, to a certain extent, I do believe in it. The ideas, the faiths, and the standards of our constructed societies seem to fuel not just the evolution of humanity (or rather, the devolution in quite a few cases), but it also seems to affect something that cannot quite be seen or interacted with. But perhaps that is all in our limited minds, who knows?
Either way, one has to realize that humanity only makes up a sliver in all existence, and that is just considering the world at large. When it comes to the entire realm of existence (by and large, what we call the universe) we don't amount to much, but maybe that can be changed, however haphazardly.
