I love this kind of reverse psychology that Western television uses to portray esoteric systems. Yes, don't worry America, anything related to chi, energy healing, etc. is all just a big silly sham. We've got this guy to make it look as absurd as possible. Just keep laughing, don't bother taking it seriously, just a big load of shit…

Good, keep it in the dark for the general public. Let it be available only for those willing and determined enough to explore it, who aren't swayed by the parade of caricatures in shows like this.

Interesting comment:

Shaolin Kung-Fu is all about harnessing ones inner energies, consolidating them into the center of your body and then releasing them in a controlled way. I am a black belt student of Ging Mo Kune Kung-Fu and during my years at Kung-Fu school I saw some pretty amazing things that completely defy western logical teachings.
One example is brick breaking. You start with a stack of 10 bricks stacked straight up on top of two bricks facing the other direction spaced a brick width apart (so there is a gap under the stack of ten). The objective is to break only the odd bricks, one at a time, leaving all the other bricks intact. First you break only the top brick (1) then you advance to the next level and break only the third brick, then the fifth and the final level is to be able to break only the seventh brick while leaving all the other bricks intact. I was one of the few students that got to the level of breaking the fifth brick and I only did it once.
However the schools founder and his sons (who were Kung-Fu masters and honorary members of the Shaolin Temple) came to visit our school and put on an awesome martial arts display. All three of them could break either brick one, brick three, brick five or brick seven at will in a moments notice - a si hing (instructor) would shout a number and the master would strike the top of the stack shattering only the brick that the si hing shouted out with over an 80% success rate.
They told us that in China they include the ninth brick which is only possible once a fighter has completely mastered his 'Fu' (inner power) and is at one with himself and the universe.

He's not making it absurd. The guy is just making good use of loosh energy by keeping his FRV very high by being very light-hearted about the whole thing. The problem isn't with him, it's with these fucking pricks in the audience who don't understand what they're witnessing.

He was doing Qui Gong and those screaming and jumping were prayers you know.

It wasn't for fighting, it's a kind of prayer through movement, and the words shouted were also the prayer. It was basically to give him a fuckload of chi so he could do stuff like make a paper dollar bill cut through those chopsticks.

Also just so you know, stopping a clock and using a paper bill to chop chopsticks are more impressive than taking a hit to the balls.

Think about it. It's like that one guy who could pick out coals from a fire with his bare hands, pass them around, and it wouldn't burn others but the moment he decides it should burn others it will. He could remove and add back the protection with his will, extending it to anyone or anything. (forget that dude's name but he's mentioned in the greenpills thread).

I bet most of you will sooner be able to take a kick to the balls then use a piece of paper to cut through chopsticks.

Same thing for stopping the clock.
