Basically you block out any sights and noise (using a radio for white noise/static).

With enough time do you think a sufficently motivated person using this technique could harness the altered state of consciousness for the purposes of tulpaforcing or even creating a wonderland?

Sounds like a method to induce astral projection.

The problem I think OP might be with revisiting the areas you've been to.

I haven't made much of an effort to revisit areas but I think I would have trouble with it.

Also likewise with tulpas the problem is keeping them around, making sure they don't just wander off and not come back.
