The rules are simple and mostly apply to the creation of threads on /fringe/:
1. No duplicate threads of topics that already exist unless the previous thread has hit the bump limit
2. No making threads just to ask questions, actually present substantial information if you're going to make a thread
3. No creating new threads purely to no-effort shitpost (you will be forgiven if it's a major GET)
4. Post threads that fall under the subject matter of /fringe/ (creepypasta is not allowed here, take that to /x/)
5. Respect anonymity. No identifying posts.
6. Do not sit on the default flag or post with no flag all the time
7. Do not raid/attack the board
8. Meta board discussion goes in >>>/fringemeta/

ITT OP effectively steals my job. As for debunking this board, I'll just broadly say 80% of the board excluding what I have posted is completely imaginary bullshit.

I feel this thread goes to prove an overarching point about those who pursue meaning in their lives, and various pursuits of meaning people eventually overcome or default to.

People who pursue living, pursue. People who pursue meaning in their lives, pursue spirituality. People who pursue meaning in their lives that seems logical, pursue philosophy. People who pursue meaning in their lives that seems logical and fun, pursue games. People who pursue meaning in their lives that seems logical, fun, and useful, pursue technology. People who pursue meaning in their lives that seems logical, fun, useful, and powerful, pursue politics. People who pursue meaning in their lives that seems logical, fun, useful, powerful, and righteous, pursue transcendence. But alas, death is a ceiling to the ultimate pursuit of all people.

I know OP's post is fairly simple -a straightforward list of concepts loved by new-age techies and the philosophies this board commonly ignores. But when I see this list, I see the intent for transcendence of this life's limitations and suffering through technological and open-minded means. But I am left wondering… if technology and open-mindedness have never definitively defeated death for any being who has ever lived, and are not predicted to do so within our lifetimes, is the pursuit of open-mindedness and technological evolution merely a pleasant distraction from our inevitable deaths? And if that is the case, is this mindset any better than the gullible distracting lies and illusions of the common wannabe mage? Why should people be content to die as stepping stones for future generations to eventually walk over us to a technologically-enabled immortality? We all deserve immortality, not just those who were born in the future.

For these reasons, while I reject much of /fringe/'s methods and lies, I likewise will not simply accept the meaningless soulless pursuit of evolution for the sake of evolution. Technological evolution is a necessity to improving our lives and continues to do so rapidly. But, I'm not going to bank on technology whole-heartedly, when it takes the easy way out and says "future generations may be immortal, but you will some day die."

Our administrator, our God, made a broken universe by either not giving us immortality, or giving it to us but not making us aware of it until these accounts we call our bodies are dead. I want more than technology and feel-good spirituality to last me through this account's life-span -I demand a solution that definitively transcends death in my lifetime.

We need opposing views protected, /fringe/'s philosophies are fallacious and constantly fail when practiced, and these techno-intellectual pursuits and concepts you promote here are great. Don't get me wrong about any of that.

But.

We need better than the pursuit of technological fun. We need to know our survival as users is ensured when our accounts are dead. That is why I tolerate skimming /fringe/ on the off-chance there might be a spiritual answer since technology has so immensely failed the human pursuit of immortality.
