1. No duplicate threads of topics that already exist unless the previous thread has hit the bump limit
2. No making threads just to ask questions, actually present substantial information if you're going to make a thread
3. No creating new threads purely to no-effort shitpost (you will be forgiven if it's a major GET)
4. Post threads that fall under the subject matter of /fringe/ (creepypasta is not allowed here, take that to /x/)
5. Respect anonymity. No identifying posts.

The Purposely Short Guide to Tulpamancy

Purpuse of this guide: get you started on making a tulpa without burdening you with irrelevant or misleading information.

Tulpa definition: A sentient thoughtform that has developed a level of independence and sustainability where it does not dissipate back into the void after the conscious attention is taken off of it. Useful as a companion, for carrying out tasks, for achieving insights into the nature of reality, and doing your will in the universe.

Prerequisites: A strong imagination, the ability to check your assumptions, and a clear enough mind that you don't weave undesirable emotional impulses into your tulpa. Work on developing the imaginal senses (sense concentration exercises) like in the early stages of Initiation Into Hermetics and try to round out your personality and health so your karma (priorities/desires) is good and you have the excess vital energy to sustain the creation of the tulpa.

A tulpa is created out of your own auric substance. It, like all thoughtforms, feeds on emotion. The way of creating a thoughtform is through concentration + emotion + intention.

Step 1: Have a general outline of what your tulpa is for, at least a vague idea of what its personality and form will be, and give conscious attention to any details you want to make sure are there. Whatever you don't explicitly define will be filled in however, not every detail is actually needed at all, and what is more is during this "filling in" process the universal mind can bestow qualities, knowledge, etc. within this being you are condensing that you don't possess. This opens up gateways of learning, information acquisition, etc. only limited by your assumptions.

Note: I prefer the term "condensing" to creating. It's hard to say when you're making a tulpa if you're really creating something or summoning something or drawing together a stream of consciousness or what exactly you are doing. My advice here is to CHECK YOUR ASSUMPTIONS. Remember you're creating a thoughtform; it's woven out of your thoughts and assumptions. It will manifest subjectively if that's what you expect, objectively if that's what you expect, and so on. Unless you've been practising chaos magick for years and know how to entertain different beliefs properly you're going to confirmation bias yourself into a limited view of reality. You don't want that as thought is an incredible power in the universe and to become more spiritually advanced you should strive to realize the power of thought and the nature of universe as infinite mind. The more constrained materialist view of reality is a subset of the greater reality in that the mental reality successfully encapsulates the former but the opposite could not work. Once you get past barriers of perception to know the universe as mind, you have the greater view of reality.

Step 2: Consider what spheres of causality your tulpa is active in. You will probably want to pick the etheric. If you pick the physical instead of creating a tulpa you'll just end up manifesting a visitation with another human being who lives on Earth that you end up synching into. Basically you'll just create a synchronicity / manifest things in the style of Neville Goddard. An etheric being's presence can be felt by others, it can manipulate and reconfigure physical matter, some people will easily pick up and see it, and it can be very helpful. However etheric beings are vulnerable to some things that disrupt the ether. You could create a purely astral being with no etheric components, it will do a lot of cognitive/mental work, information gathering, and other tasks but without much of a connection to the physical world due to a lack of ethereal bridges.

Note: See Montalk.net's glossary for definitions on etheric, astral, etc. to understand what these terms mean to me. I use it in the same sense as it is used on his site.

Step 3: When your chakras are not too blocked, you're not too tense and shutdown, and you aren't suffering from anhedonia you should have a continuous emotional flow and these emotions will be tapped into and directed into a form of astral light which you condense in a space of your choosing and fill with the qualities, purpose, etc. of the tulpa you want to make. They will manifest in the light/fog/thought-substance. You will stay concentrated and continue to work it into a more and more clear form and discharging stronger and stronger emotion into it. The first couple times you do this if you are an underdeveloped practitioner might not be successful at all and at best a vague something you make will then quickly dissipate. If you are better prepared or more advanced or have been trying for awhile though you'll eventually release a strong amount of emotional energy (loosh) and create something that doesn't immediately dissipate the moment your attention is taken off of it. At this point it can still dissipate in a few minutes or hours if you don't keep feeding it and just ignore it and lock down your emotions, a good idea if something is wrong or you feel there is an impure influence in your tulpa. If however you want to keep going, just spend as much time as you can concentrating on and giving attention again and again to the tulpa. House it somewhere or make it of a kind that you can instantly summon it to anywhere if you wish (it is probably a better idea to house it in a specific area but it's up to you, the more power you give this being, the more potentially dangerous it is in its advanced stages, but also potentially helpful; just depends if you can keep a positive relationship with it and shape it to be a pure and compassionate being). The tulpa will grow stronger each time you concentrate on it.

Note: 1 hour of concentration on the being with a little emotion flowing in could be equivalent to just 1 minute of intense emotional flow into the being. It's concentration + time + intensity of emotion = how fast it takes form and becomes active in the sphere you are manifesting in it.

Suggestions: Create a tulpa with very pure intentions and a good character that will be a companion and instructor and faithful servant (or make 3 different tulpas if you want for each). Know it to be a compassionate and loving being and don't entertain the idea it could be anything else as it isn't. Have in mind a condition under which you would dismiss it and return into the light/void or "wherever" it came from such and know that it will retire happily. Don't create a being that God the All (who is perfect in all virtues) would not approve of.

A final note: It would be a good idea to visit http://oxwugzccvk3dk6tj.onion/fringe/index.html ( 8ch.net/fringe/ for non-darknet users ) and read the books there and steep yourself for awhile in the occult but know how to entertain ideas without necessarily identifying with them permanently. Hold an idea in mind, make it yours, then release it. You must have this kind of ability to overcome perceptual limitations and experience different paradigms and get to the truth. The recommended books on /fringe/ which you can find in the libraries on there will give a well-rounded knowledge. After about 6 months minimum of researching the occult and starting basic practices like in the early stages of IIH you might want to take a tulpa but you might wait as long as say 5 years like in my case depending what you need to sort out about yourself, what risks you're willing to take, and how in the know you are already. Some of you reading this might want to start right now though and this guide is all you need to know. You don't need to bother reading any other guides about tulpamancy. Also please remember that if you make a tulpa that causes problems in the world in so much as you are a superior, responsible, and wilfull being of spirit yourself you have responsibility for your "child" and what it does. God's hierarchy of "angels" is always watching, correcting, and holding to account! Everything has its price that is paid and sometimes it's totally worth it and other times it's a load of regret and setbacks. You can "get away" with things only if it's in accord with the cosmic will and the higher authority lets you do justice in the world. The cat isn't at fault for hunting mice it's his nature. What is your nature? Also, knowing your nature, are you comfortable with yourself or would you rather be more of a higher being? Think about that. Every man eventually achieves equillibrium and finds himself content living just as he is (for a time - possibly a lifetime) others are filled with so much pain that to stagnate leaves them very uneasy and they yearn all the time to develop their mind and understanding to a much higher capacity and so often have a tumultuous and unstable life because of this. I digress; the formula to remember is simply that all thoughts influence reality in accord with the assumptions and intentions of the being that channels/"originates" them and reality ( your whole life, all that you regard as physical ) is the construction of so many thoughts from all parts of infinite mind not limited by time or space spun together in resonance with each other.
