I've noticed a great awakening among the fans of Japanese animation, games, and "otaku" culture.

The studios themselves seem to have been playing a long game against the remains of the post-WWII censorship, and seem to be making esoteric headway.

It used to be that mentioning the esoteric meaning of colors in a scene or references to hidden historical facts would be shouted down with accusations of "tinfoil hattery", but now it's quite normal to delve into the occulted symbolic meanings.

Average anime fans now know about Gematria / Numerology encodings of Character & place names. It's not odd to see several referencing various historical allegories as a hidden framework for the plot.

For your examination two of Studio Trigger's works "Little Witch Academia" and "Darling in the FranXX" (posts & screenshots compiled by others)

With revealing comes loosh. I can foresee many opportunities for the occultists and wizards who tap into the rising tide. Some weebs are shaking off their stupor and realizing that the entire world has been occulted and encoded with the language of esoteric symbolism for hundreds of years. One small taste of forbidden fruit leads to a ravenous hunger and thirst for knowledge. Here is fertile soil for (dis)empowerment and (mis)direction.

This thread is to discuss and aggregate the esoteric wisdoms and alegories being unleashed upon the Weeb / Otaku culture. I do not necessarily endorse the content of the images i'm uploading…

Cool I'll have to give it a chance now. There's a bunch of manga/manhwa series listed in the daily cultivation thread that sneaked in eastern esoteric techniques

i haven't watched these shows but what's presented tells me there is much more embedded in them than meets the eye.

I found pic related on a blog by searching "occult little witch academia", by numbering it appears to be from a recent thread on half-chan's /a/.

Another Alchemy / Thoth reference:

The C crecent, earth's crossroads (+), Amen / Solar Disc symbolism of the Wizard Hat / Great Fire Mountain / mound of creation are unified front to back: That's the symbol for Mercury / Alchemy; Crescent, Disc, Crossroads; ☿

The second image contains Masonic references to, Boaz the tower of Strenght. The mirror's back shows an occulted unified compass and square. Even has a little berry placed where the generative G goes. The ovaries and birth canal are also symbolized in the lower square. The Compass and it's circles and spheres are of enlightenment and magic, hence the holly berries above where the compass goes.

The silver mirror is of dualism and used for polarizing light, further Silver Star of the Morning references.

Biblically, Ruth is the mother-in-law of Naomi and were it not for her Naomi's line would not be established / preserved through the Boaz.

I just started up a stream on another screen with whatever latest FranXX episode is Has a flying jellyfish monster attacking. This dirigible with electric tendrils brushing the ground is revealing the secret of Atmospheric Electricity. From the opening and brief bit I've watched it seems this show is focusing on the topic of harnessing energy both materially, culturally and spiritual. XX in FranXX is the feminine chromosomes, and an occulted masonic compass and square. Studio A1 = 11. Alpha = beginning, 11 is oft used to begin a spell.

These anime artists are playing with fire by commenting on current events and revealing truths such as the collection of free energy from the heavenly circuit.

Heavy western control and influence, esp. British / New England, in Japanese media is so blatant it shouldn't need pointing out. Historically, the GCHQ's propaganda campaign, War Guilt Information Program, still has deep tendrils in Japanese media.

Welcome To NHK: "It's a Conspiracy!" indeed.

The blond western characters are always portrayed as most desirable, esp. girls. The western imposed academic uniformity is praised. Much of authentic Japanese culture is suppressed. The censors must either be complicit or compromised, or overwhelmed by the other factions.

I know fan service was originally a jab at the censors who banned live action cinema from having lewd depictions, and was subverted by social engineers to push more degenerate behavior at teens. The extreme otaku NEET Hikki "herbivore men" are not a chance happening and some social engineers have tried influencing Otaku culture to increase birthrate by fetishizing impregnation & "take responsibility". The latest Sailor Moon series premier was shown on big screens (thus Censor approved), and was pro-feminist. "Only Girls Allowed" for the premier meant that diehard otaku would have to bring a date if they wanted to attend the event.

Media is obviously a mindscape battled over fiercely. If the animators did "play the long game" and slowly encoded more and more esoteric symbolism into their works, then a great revealing now could boost their cultural influence.

Obsession among fans has been cultivated for obvious financial and mental influence objectives. If fans do "geek out" now they'll be confronted with blatant esoteric references. Religion-craft and statecraft go hand in hand. This is an old game that has been playing out in lore and theater for all of history. Many times a foundation has been laid through legend to support a desired structure later.

I question whether the mundane public mind has the will or energy to take the path of enlightenment offered in any great number. There is probably some effect to that end. Most mystery teachings are available now to the general public, and yet few do the needed work to understand this realm. Perhaps some animators are just making them more palatable?

An "Occult Research Club" appears in several animes. Bakemonogatari, Highschool DxD, K-On!, etc. There are many shows dedicated to the occult: "Occultic 9". There's even been one about Vedic teachings and naturism where the girl gets sick from hamburgers. I would be surprised if there aren't many Japanese folks interested in the esoteric. It would be difficult to create such a media landscape if the occultists required to make it didn't exist.

It does seem like Trigger is trying to Trigger something though with an inordinate amount of occultism, risking revealing the "methods and practices" openly. One wonders what lengths others will go to in order to top them?

This isn't that different from symbolism in older anime. The average fan probably won't think much of it. As much as I love LWA, I don't consider it to be awakening. This is nothing compared to some of the elements in Square Enix games. You also have to remember that Japan barely has a Christian history, so the occult is not a taboo. (Magic actually used to co-exist with Christianity in Europe during the Medieval period and occultists in many forms are based off monks.)

But now that you bring up the discussion. It makes me curious as to which anime shows would be the top five in esoteric accuracy. There are many old dark-themed series that never gained a large following that I still wish to explore some time, of which many involve magic. My memory could be deceiving me those, they are probably no different than the light portrayal of esotericism, such as in Slayers, Escaflowne, Inuyasha, etc.

If you want a cool cartoon to watch, look for a movie called Fire and Ice. It's not too magical, but worth watching anyways.
