Christianity is supposed to be the one size fits all religion. A lot of the archetypes are simplified into a few important easy to remember characters. If any more come up they can be added as saints. The Bible has passages depicting love for neighbor as well as complete genocide of enemy tribes, so it works in any situation. The Apocrypha has the secret occult stuff, so those who look can find their way to Gnosis. It's also important to remember the modern subverted churches are nothing like the original Christian teachings and Christian prophets from only a century ago warned that we would enter an era where the only true Christians practiced their faith alone while the churches preached heresies.

Is there anything good in going to Church in this day and age? Suppose you enter the Church and then dismiss all that the priest says. Is it still okay to sing the hymns and take communion?

Communion is between you and god, not you and the church. The wafers and wine are not literal, merely symbolic of the blood pact between deity and man. A wafer from the hand of the devil is no more or less sacrement. It all comes down to what is between you and your god.
